Used Power Press — Questions We Actually Get Asked
Straight answers, no boilerplate. If your question isn't here, WhatsApp or call us directly.
Where can I buy a used power press in India?
Rattan Used Machinery imports, inspects, reconditions and supplies used power presses across India — including Schuler, Aida, Komatsu, Woojin, Amada, FPM, Bruderer, JDM Jingda and WPM machines. Call, WhatsApp or email us with your requirement.
What exactly is a used power press?
It's a previously operated industrial press that has been inspected, tested and, where required, refurbished or reconditioned before being supplied to another buyer. Used power presses are a cost-effective option for metal stamping, punching, blanking, bending and forming work.
Why buy used instead of new?
A used power press can significantly cut your machinery investment while still giving you access to established international brands. A properly inspected and reconditioned unit can deliver reliable production performance at a fraction of the cost of a comparable new machine — typically 40–70% less.
How reliable are your used power presses?
Reliability comes down to the machine's original build quality, operating history, maintenance record and the standard of refurbishment. That's why every machine we supply is inspected and tested by our own technicians and engineers before it goes out — mechanically, electrically and operationally.
Do the machines come with a warranty?
Selected used power presses carry a 6-month warranty. Terms can vary by machine and purchase agreement, so confirm the specific terms with our sales team before you buy.
What does your reconditioning actually involve?
It depends on the individual machine's condition, and can include mechanical servicing, replacement of worn components, electrical rework, lubrication system checks, and full testing — plus any structural repairs a specific unit needs.
Can I inspect the machine before buying?
Yes, and we recommend it. On-site inspection lets you check the ram, clutch and brake, lubrication, electrical controls, vibration, noise and general running condition for yourself. Where a visit isn't practical, we can arrange photographs, specifications and a running video for the specific machine.
Can I buy a machine to my exact specification?
Yes. Give us your required tonnage, brand, machine type, application, bed size, stroke, shut height and production targets, and we'll match it against current stock or source a suitable machine for you.
Do you help with installation and import formalities?
We can handle erection and commissioning at your site, and guide you through import and customs formalities — including EPCG licensing — where it applies to your purchase.
What tonnage range do you supply?
We regularly handle machines from around 45 tons up to 2000 tons, covering mechanical, hydraulic, cross-shaft and forging press types. Contact us with your exact tonnage requirement to confirm current availability.
